GS Mini-e Koa
A scaled-down GS with the rich, earthy look of Hawaiian koa.
The award-winning GS Mini was designed to be the ultimate musical companion, wherever you go - or stay. Inspired by the big, bold sound of Taylor's GS body shape, the Mini scales things down without skimping on sound, packing a ton of tone into a comfortable travel size and giving you a guitar that's full-voiced and incredibly fun to play. Think of the Mini as a modern-day parlor guitar, perfect for playing around the house, but also built to fit an active lifestyle.
Hawaiian koa’s rich and earthy complexion brings an exotic look to one of Taylor’s most popular and portable guitars on this limited edition GS Mini. This instrument features a pickguard-free top of solid Hawaiian koa, layered koa back and sides, plus an onboard ES-T pickup. The hardwood koa top will yield a focused response with a splash of extra top-end chime.
Layered Koa
Taylor uses layered Koa on its 210ce-K, 214ce-K, and solid Koa on the exquisite K-Series guitars.
Layered koa features an all-wood laminated construction, in this case with interior and exterior layers of beautifully-figured koa veneer separated by a middle core layer of poplar.
The ES-T®
The ES-T® is a single-source, under-saddle transducer with individual elements for each string. It features an onboard preamp and the same active controls found on the full ES. Featuring a custom-voiced EQ and dynamic response, the system is powered by a 9-volt battery, with a battery life LED power indicator (lit when battery is in use). The pickup also has a Phase switch for feedback control, which is located on the preamp board inside the soundhole.
